TELEVISED NASHVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2006 Students of the Tennessee Twirlers, Inc. have again been invited to participate in the televised Nashville Christmas Parade on Friday, December 1,2006. The beautifully organized parade will be televised on Cable Television and is being sponsored by the Nashville Gas Company and will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the streets closed off at 5:30 p.m. Our line up position will be mailed to each twirler participating. (This will not conflict with school hours.)In order to comply with the requirements of the Standards Committee of the Nashville Gas Company and parade officials, students of the Tennessee Twirlers, Inc. have been ask to abide by the following criteria: Must be a student in good standing with TTI by attending weekly baton classes. Must wear the Red TTI Sweat Suit with white turtleneck as described in our uniform order blank. Orders received after the deadline will not be filled in time to participate in this parade. The uniform has the TTI logo. Students must have the correct white grosgrain ribbon with ponytail. Students with short hair must wear the ribbon. TTI Parade Corps, TTI Queens and Grand Champions have own dress code for these events. Students must have a balanced baton with NO TAPE or colored ends Students must wear white oxford cloth or leather thin-soled tennis shoes like Keds. Students must pass inspection of hair and grooming at this event. Students wishing to participate in this event must do the following: Must attend TWO SATURDAY EVENTS to practice with the Tennessee Twirlers, Inc. for this parade. They must take classes at the Saturday event and enter at least one event in the Rating Festival to prepare for the parades. Students just taking classes will not be considered for this parade. Must fill out the below form and mail to Tennessee Twirlers, Inc. on or before November 21,2006. Students not mailing in this form will not get instructions nor be eligible to participate in the televised parade. Parents failing to fill out the below form and mail it in by the deadline will not be given permission for their twirler to participate in this event. The Saturday events will be held from September 30 through November 19 in Middle and West Tennessee. Do not wait until the last minute and be unable to get your two Saturday events in your schedule.
