GENERAL RULES:
1)
Entry
must be clearly printed or typed. Only one individual or group
entry per form. Entries
that are not legible will be returned.
Pair entry/payment must be sent by 1 member.
All participants must sign a waiver of liability to
participate.
2)
Individual
and team entries must include USTA membership ID number.
If we cannot prove your memberships, you must join the day
of the contest.
3)
Athlete
will compete the age they will be the calendar year January 1 –
December
31, 2008
.
4)
USTA
membership (regular & family) fees must be made payable
directly to USTA. USTA
member for a Day is $8.00 for one day only and may be made payable
along with your contest entry fee.
5)
Make
Money Order, Certified Funds or Cashiers Checks payable to TTI
Student Activity Fund for entry fees.
6)
No
personal checks, business checks, phone entries, fax or e-mail
entries accepted.
7)
Deadline to receive entry is
March 15, 2008

ABSOLUTELY NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MARCH 15.
8)
Contest
Director, TTI Board of Advisers or host facility will not be
responsible for lost items or accidents.
9)
Contest
will run on the USTA Set System.
10)
USTA
Rules and Regulation and USTA judges will be used at this event.
11)
NO
FOOD, SMOKING OR DRINKS will be permitted in the building.
TTI Booster Club will serve food at a nominal fee.
No outside food or coolers allowed in the building.
12)
No
flash photography allowed at USTA contest.
13)
NO
REFUNDS will be given for any reason.
14)
If
athlete makes a mistake on his/her entry, mistakes will not be
corrected and the athlete or group will not be permitted to
perform.
15)
Contest
Director reserves the right to divide or combine age groups as the
entries warrant.
16)
Groups,
Pre-Trials and Trials Athletes will be critiqued on cassette
tapes.
17)
Age
divisions for all competitions:
0-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19 and over.
18)
Age
divisions for pairs: Primary
– combined ages of 18 and under.
Juvenile – combined ages of 19-24, Junior – combined
ages of 25-30, Senior – combined ages of 31 and over.
19)
AWARDS:
Trophies for 1st and 2nd places,
medals 3rd through 9th places.
20)
Group
Awards: 1st,
2nd, and 3rd places plaques.
Ribbons for all athletes according to their placement (1st,
2nd or 3rd).
21)
Dress
Modeling: Crown,
banner, and trophy 1st place, 2nd place
trophy, 3rd
through 9th place medals. We will have Junior( 0-15)
and Senior Grand Champions(16 and over) in the
following advanced events only…..Girls Solo, Men’s
Solo, Dance-Twirl, Strut, Two Baton and Three Baton.

Contest Wins:
Novice – Never won a 1st place in that event.
Beginner – less than 5 wins in said event.
Intermediate – won less than 10 - 1st
place in said event. Competitive
1st places count when competing with one other person
in an event regardless of association.

A.M. Contest Starts : Dress
Modeling, Team and Corps Competition, Team Retreat and Awards,
Parade, Basic, Military L, Presentation, Solo Twirl, Pairs,
Rifle, Flag, Two Baton, Three Baton, Strut, Dance-Twirl,
Compulsories and Trials/Pre-Trials Critiques.

Parade
Routine will be 64 counts (8 count intro) and dress modeling will
be done in any formation – 1minute per twirler.
Any length dress or gown permitted.
25)
USTA
rules will be used on Strut routines.
